Bernard Harguindeguy
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Bernard Harguindeguy is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlantis Computing. Mr. Harguindeguy has over 25 years of operating experience in high-technology companies and has served on a number of Boards of technology companies including at Sygate Technologies for 5 years until its sale to Symantec in 2005 and as Chairman of the board of BorderWare which he sold to WatchGuard in 2009. Previously, Mr. Harguindeguy was the President and CEO of GreenBorder, a web security company which he sold to Google in 2007. GreenBorder was the first security company acquired by Google and is now part of the Google Chrome web browser. Before joining GreenBorder, Bernard was the EVP and General Manager of the Identity Management business of Critical Path—at the time the only profitable business within the company—and had earlier held the position of Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Critical Path, Bernard was the President and CEO of WorldTalk, a publicly-traded (NASDAQ) Internet security software company that he turned around before it was acquired by Tumbleweed Communications. In addition, he held a number of positions at Novell, including General Manager for the Enterprise Division, a division that he built into a $145M business with a focus on enterprise applications integration and IBM connectivity. Mr. Harguindeguy holds a MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of California Irvine.
Chetan Venkatesh
Chief Technology Officer and Founder
Chetan Venkatesh is the Chief Technology officer and founder of Atlantis Computing. Mr. Venkatesh is an entrepreneur who has started several enterprise software companies over the last 15 years. Prior to Atlantis Computing, Mr. Venkatesh was the CEO and an angel investor in Etheract Software, a CAD software company that developed tools for Micro Electronic Mechanical Systems (MEMS). Before joining Etheract Software, Mr. Venkatesh was the CEO and founder of Insynchro, an enterprise collaboration product for large and complex projects that was acquired by Commerce Ventures. Prior to Etheract, Mr. Venkatesh started Lucidity, a middleware company that developed products for exporting mainframe database reports to the web. Mr Venkatesh holds a BS in Computer Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz and Inti College in Malaysia.
Chander Sarna
Senior Vice President of Engineering
Chander Sarna is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Atlantis Computing. Mr. Sarna has over 28 years of experience running engineering organizations at both start-ups and large companies. Prior to Atlantis Computing, Mr. Sarna was the SVP of Engineering and Operations for Adchemy, where he built a world-class team of 90 engineers that delivered leading edge products to the Advertising market. Before Adchemy, Mr. Sarna was the VP of Engineering and Operations at Friendster (acquired by Money On Line) where he addressed the many shortcomings of the first social network on the market, which was unfortunately held back by scalability problems. Under his leadership, Friendster’s website ranking reached top 10 status – amongst all websites in the world. Prior to Friendster, Mr. Sarna was the Sr. Director of Engineering at Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle) responsible for turning around the applications platform from being a trouble prone foundation to one with high reliability and performance. Prior to Siebel, Mr. Sarna held engineering leadership positions at Netscape where he was responsible for the Application Server engineering. Mr. Sarna holds MSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic, MSCS from SUNY Stony Brook, and a BSEE from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani.
Joel Davis
Vice President of Sales, North America
Joel Davis is the Vice President of Sales, North America for Atlantis Computing. Prior to Atlantis Computing, Mr. Davis was the Sr. Director of Field Channel Operations for North America and the Solution Provider Channel Segment Lead Executive for the Americas at VMware. Mr. Davis ran the Field Channel organization of 50+ people that was responsible for the local field execution of $800M+ of North America revenue across all routes to market –including Solution Providers, OEMs, Corporate Resellers , Systems Integrators , Distributors and Strategic Alliances . In addition to his management responsibilities, Mr. Davis co-created VMware’s go-to-market strategy, designed the North America sales plays and call blitzes and created the methodology and business strategy known as vPractice. Prior to joining VMware, Mr. Davis held Vice President positions at Tech Data, Global Center, NetManage, and Ingram Micro and has been responsible for up to 500 people, $3B in revenue, and $30M budgets. Mr. Davis has an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Sales from California State University of Fullerton in California.
David Cumberworth
Vice President of Sales, Northern Europe
David Cumberworth is the Vice President of Sales, Northern Europe, for Atlantis Computing. Prior to Atlantis Computing, Mr. Cumberworth ran the Enterprise sales team at Citrix Systems in the UK. Under his leadership, the team developed some of Citrix’s largest 100 commercial and Central Government accounts in the United Kingdom. In addition to his management responsibilities, David was personally responsible for closing the largest Citrix deals with global banks including Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Credit Suisse and Bank of America. Before joining Citrix, Mr. Cumberworth ran the Server Based Computing Business Unit for Computacenter in the UK, a leading provider of IT infrastructure services in Europe with 10,000 employees and £2.5 billion in revenue. Mr. Cumberworth has a HND in Business Studies from Craven College in the UK.
Rajiv Pimplaskar
Vice President of Corporate Development
Rajiv Pimplaskar is the Vice President of Corporate Development for Atlantis Computing. Mr. Pimplaskar is a proven leader with 15 years of experience in sales, technology & management, and building corporate partnerships. Prior to Atlantis, Mr. Pimplaskar worked for 10 years in prominent management roles for Verizon and its subsidiaries. From 1995 through 2001, he worked at Bell Atlantic in engineering, sales and channel marketing capacities delivering data networking solutions in Southeast Pennsylvania and Delaware. In 2002, he was promoted to be a Regional Manager at Verizon where he led a sales and delivery team to drive $19 million in revenue within the Michigan Auto Vertical. In 2004, he was handpicked to the leadership team at Verizon HQ in New York managing 80 national accounts billing $125 million annually. Mr. Pimplaskar ran a 55 person organization with sales support, solutions engineering, project management and proposal managers across 12 states. In 2006, as part of the Verizon-MCI merger, Mr. Pimplaskar ran global sales teams targeting top Financial Services, Media and Pharmaceutical customers headquartered in the New York Metro area. Mr. Pimplaskar has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Pune University, India, an MS in Computer Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Widener University.
Siggi Petursson
Vice President of Quality Assurance & Support
Siggi Petursson is the Vice President of Quality Assurance & Support for Atlantis Computing. Prior to Atlantis Computing, Mr. Petursson was the Quality Assurance Manager for VMware vCloud 1.0 where he managed and oversaw the efforts of 5 independent QA teams within VMware to successfully release VMware’s biggest 2010 release. He also led the expansion of overseas QA teams and designed scalability & performance test plans to support over one million virtual machines. Before VMware, Mr. Petursson was the Director of QA & Support for GreenBorder (acquired by Google and now part of Google Chrome), a web security company sold in 2007. At GreenBorder, Mr. Petursson built the Support and QA organization to support over 100,000 customers. Prior to GreenBorder, Mr. Petursson held several engineering positions at Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP). Mr. Petursson has a degree in Mathematics and Physics from Sund College in Iceland.
