Las Vegas, NV - VMworld, August 29, 2011 – Atlantis Computing™, the leader in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced that it will demonstrate the latest Atlantis ILIO™ software including Fault Tolerance (FT), increased scalability and even faster desktop performance at VMworld 2011 in Las Vegas, August 29 through September 1 at booth #1161. Atlantis Computing solutions will also be showcased by Cisco, IBM and Lakeside Software in their booths.
Cisco will show how Cisco Extended Memory Technology can be used with Atlantis ILIO to create a "Diskless VDI Architecture."
IBM will show how a large insurance customer was able to use IBM SBDC with Atlantis ILIO Fault Tolerance and IBM XIV storage to deploy 5,000 virtual desktops.
Lakeside Software will be showing how Lakeside SysTrack can give customer insight into how much storage can be saved using Atlantis ILIO.
The Atlantis ILIO software virtual appliance allows organizations to slash the amount and cost of storage for VDI deployments, boosts desktop performance to ensure user acceptance and allows security to be deployed without impacting server density. The solution is easily deployed by Citrix, VMware, and Quest channel partners into existing Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View, and Quest vWorkspace deployments to either support more users on the same infrastructure, or address current scalability and performance issues. About Atlantis Computing
Atlantis Computing is transforming enterprise desktop computing by solving the challenges of virtual desktop deployments: storage costs, performance and the impact of security on server density. The Atlantis ILIO software complements Citrix, VMware, and Quest VDI solutions to cut VDI costs and deliver a desktop that is faster than a PC. With Atlantis ILIO, IT organizations can deploy 4 to 7 times more desktops on the same storage footprint, making VDI more affordable by both cutting the amount of storage needed per desktop and enabling the use of less expensive storage. Atlantis Computing is privately held and funded by El Dorado Ventures, Partech International and Cisco Systems with headquarters in Mountain View, California, and offices in London, England and Bangalore, India.
