MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - May 29, 2012 - Atlantis Computing™, the leader in VDI storage and performance optimization solutions, today announced that it was chosen as a finalist for GigaOM’s Structure LaunchPad, a high-profile competition that recognizes the most promising cloud computing startups. LaunchPad is part of Structure, which is taking place June 20-21, 2012 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco.
“Dozens of cloud startups applied to Structure LaunchPad, but the 11 finalists stood head and shoulders above the rest for their innovative ideas, forward-thinking business models and cutting-edge technologies,” said Stacey Higginbotham, Structure chair and senior writer for GigaOM. “Chosen after a rigorous review process, these companies are forging new ground when it comes to advancing cloud computing.”
Onstage at Structure, Atlantis Computing CEO Bernard Harguindeguy will unveil a new product that will take its offerings beyond the VDI market and make it possible to leverage commodity servers for storage intensive virtualized applications in cloud environments. Attendees will be able to see the technology in action in Atlantis Computing’s booth at the conference.
"We are excited to be a part of GigaOM's Structure," said Bernard Harguindeguy, CEO of Atlantis Computing. "This is the first time we will publicly announce this new product, demonstrating the reach of our technology far beyond the VDI and desktop virtualization markets."
